All Eyes on Pakistan’s 2025 Tour of Bangladesh | Here’s Why It Matters.

PAKISTAN VS BANGLADESH T20 SERIES:

According to the schedule, Pakistan will face Bangladesh in T20 on Sunday, 20 July. The final squad is not confirmed yet, but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to announce it later this week. Pakistan has not confirmed yet the availability of star players like Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi, who were rested for the previous series against Bangladesh. The series will have three matches of T20 from July 20 to 24 in Dhaka. The training camp will start at National Cricket Stadium in Karachi from July 7 to prepare for the upcoming series. Pakistan will arrive in Bangladesh on July 16, starting with the opening match on July 20, followed by the second and third matches on July 22 and 24.  

VENUE FOR THE SERIES:  

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has confirmed that all three matches will be played at Shere-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.  
1. 20 July, First T20 at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium at Local time 6 PM.  
2. 22 July, Second T20 at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium at Local time 6 PM.  
3. 24 July, Third T20 at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium at Local time 6 PM.  

SQUAD FOR PAKISTAN (EXPECTED):  

Fakhar Zaman, Muhammad Haris, Hasan Nawaz, Irfan Khan Niazi, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Agha (C), Faheem Ashraf, Hussain Talat, Kushdil Shah, Shadab Khan, Abrar Ahmad, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah.  
Remember, this is not a confirmed squad for the series; the confirmed squad will be announced by the PCB later this week.  

SQUAD FOR BANGLADESH (EXPECTED):  

Litton Das (C), Tanzid Hassan, Pervaiz Hussain, Soumya Sarkar, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hussain, Jaker Ali, Rishad Hussain, Mehdi Hassan (vc), Tanvir Islam, Mustafizur Rehman, Hasan Mahmud, Tanzib Hasan Shakib, Nahid Rana, and Shoriful Islam.  
This is not a confirmed squad; the confirmed squad will be announced by BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board).  

DHAKA PITCH : 

Dhaka wickets actually favor spinners, and a little bit of dew at night means that the team winning the toss expects to bat second. As July weather brings high humidity, the evening dew is likely to have an impact on bowling.  

TEAM EXPECTATIONS  

Pakistan dominates in T20s against Bangladesh with 16 wins out of 19, and the recent clean sweep has definitely boosted the confidence of the team. The strong bench, along with new coaches and new strategies, makes this team comfortable heading into the series.  
Bangladesh will utilize home conditions, a big fan crowd, and other significant factors. Litton Das, Mustafizur Rehman, and other experienced players will play key roles for their team, especially with fast bowling, which will make them feel more confident and increase expectations to win the series.

For both teams, this is not just a bilateral series, but this is actually a good preparation for the upcoming Asia Cup and T20 World Cup 2026.
